Come enjoy a hike to Materuni Waterfall —the tallest in northern Tanzania— where you can swim in the fresh waters from Mount Kilimanjaro. Then yo will have a bean-to-cup coffee experience where we teach you our traditional preparation methods, followed by a typical local lunch.

Arusha Tour Itinerary
After pickup at 8am your guide will drive you to Materuni, the last village before Kilimanjaro National Park. At an altitude of 1300m above sea level, the village is a picturesque destination known for its beautiful waterfall, local coffee experience and Chagga culture. The hike to the waterfall begins after registration at the village office and is an easy trek that takes approximately 45 minutes each way. After reaching the waterfall, visitors can rest and have a swim before returning to the village.
On the way back, visitors will be taken to a nearby community where they will learn how to prepare coffee the traditional way using local utensils and techniques. After enjoying some freshly brewed coffee you will relax to a lunch of typical Tanzanian dishes before departure.
The tour ends in Materuni at 2pm.
